The most common question I get about machines might go something like this "which machine will do hats", "I want a machine to do sweaters for my family", "what is the best machine".
All machines will do hats, sweaters, home decor. All Silver Reed machines are the "best" machine, since they've been in production for 50 years, they have all the bugs worked out. Obviously it is a good product with a well managed company, because they are still supplying us with an awesome product!
Everytime someone says "I want to knit sweaters", I counter with "which yarn would you like to use?" I love to see the light come on when they finally understand.
The needles are the bed are in a fixed distance apart. And the hooks on the bed are a fixed size. This limits and determines which yarns will work which machines.
