I'm building up my stash of needles, and just got a bunch of circular needles in various sizes and lengths (and some interchangeables). They're being mailed, and I was just thinking--where would I keep them all? The strings on these are a lot more flexible than the Boye one I bought from a big box store, and I'm really inexperienced. Do I have to worry about them getting tangled? I want them neat and tidy and easily accessible. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to store these things?

there are some great tips on ravelry, have you joined this site yet? People are so creative and really have some great ideas for circular needles. Some people store them on the wall with a fabric (looks easy to make) holder!!

I keep mine in pencil bags, one bag for each size, and it holds all the circulars for that size plus the double-points. I keep all the pencil bags in a large basket.

mine are all in zip lock bags, labelled (as they don't say the size on them like straight needles) and I currently keep all my yarn, needles and other supplies in a canvas carrier bag, but I'm on the look out for a big basket or something that I can keep everything in...

Angelika has a huge collection of needles, as you can imagine. The circulars we keep in the store are organized in Ashland Sky bags. They're handmade carriers from Ashland, Oregon. They even make zip-top bags that we use for all kinds of things. I keep my art supplies in this *really* big one. You can browse those here: www.yarn-store.com/ashland-sky-needle-storage.html

As Henry mentioned, I keep all my supplies in my Ashland Sky Bags. Not only are they made in the USA (made in Oregon), Mary & Michael go through an organization which employs seniors and disabled citizens. Sweet, eh?!!
None the less, I'm using bags that I started using 10 years ago, and other than the yarn dust, they are as good as they were when got them!

Next time I'm in I'll be checking out the circular storage options again. I'm trying to get all my needles organized - and trying to decide which ones to find a new home for. I have my favs that I keep going back to so do I really need all those others that I never use? ??
