People always smile when they hear us say it and ask: "A yarn crawl? Like a pub crawl?" Truth is, hundreds of knitters from west to east coast slink into our deeply saturated yarn paradise to peruse 18 stores participating in a 4-day event. Last year, a single shop saw over a thousand knitters and crocheters walk in their door and drop their name in for a huge door prize. Hosted by the very shop owners themselves, ( www.rosecityyarncrawl.com/) the Rose City Yarn Crawl is going to hit us February 28 and end March 3. There will be more prizes this year and the free patterns with every purchase will have more options than ever! Are you coming? Did you come last year? Do you have daydreams of visiting? Let's talk about this yarn extravaganza!

Very much looking forward to this event. Typically I go places when I think they're not going to be very crowded, so this whole idea of going when the masses are going is totally outside my comfort zone, but I've avoided it every other year and am feeling like I'm missing out on something really fun. So I'll have the Thursday crowds and just have fun !!

I think the key to enjoying the crawl is to not be in a rush. The crawl is a great way to check out all the stores, sign up for freebies and PEOPLE watch!!
If the store is crowded, make a note on your phone what has caught your eye and plan a trip after the crawl.
OMG. . . . is is a scant month away! The committees are in full speed forward getting everything ready. The plans and schedules were set in place months ago, and now we are doing it!!
